From turning on your lights to disarming your security system, Siri and Alexa can be excellent tools to get things done without lifting a finger. If you would like to pair your Guardian devices with these voice-activation tools, read below on how to introduce Guardian to Siri or Alexa!

Hey, Siri!

Pairing your Apple device with your Guardian app is simple. To connect your Guardian Protection devices with Siri, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Guardian app. 
  2. Tap the menu icon. 
  3. Tap App Settings. 
  4. Tap Siri Shortcuts. 
  5. Tap the shortcut you would like to create. 
  6. Add a custom phrase for Siri.
  7. Finally, tap Add to Siri.

Alexa, Pair With Guardian

If you prefer Alexa and have the Alexa App, it’s easy to gain access to your Guardian security system through the “Total Connect 2.0” skill. To use this, follow these steps:

  1. To find the Total Connect 2.0 skill, tap on the “Skills” options located in the side menu on the Alexa app. Then, type “Honeywell Total Connect 2.0” and choose “Enable Skill” when it appears in the results.
  2. Next, you will be prompted to enter your Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 credentials. Enter your log-in info and press the button.
  3. Read the user agreement and push the “Allow” button.
  4. Select the Security System icon and tap the “Connect” button.
  5. When your system is connected, a final screen will display “Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 has been successfully linked.”
  6. Log in to Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 and ensure that your user code is saved and synched with the panel under the “Access” section. This is necessary for Amazon Alexa to function correctly.

Level Up Automation donates $1,200 all girls robotics team compete in World Championships

Level Up Automation has donated $1,200 to support Zetabots, an all girl robotics team to go to World Robotics championships in Texas.  The Zetabots is a team of 5 girls who have never competed in robotics until this year. The team is comprised of two fifth graders Lilly  and Kaitlyn  and three fourth graders Gabrielle, Molly and Hammelin.  They will compete at the Vex IQ Worlds Competition taking place in Dallas May 10-12th where 600 teams from around the world will strategize with alliance partners, drive, and program to show what they and their robot can do.
